Playa Encuentro, located between Sosúa and Cabarete, and half an hour from the hotels of Playa Dorada and Costa Dorada. Described as a “perfect right breaking wave”, you will find the best surf schools right on the beach, ready to introduce you to the sport. As surfing tradition dictates, the best time to enjoy the waves is early in the morning.
Playa Cabarete, Caribbean hub for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and laser sailing, Playa Cabarete, also known as Kite Beach at its western end, is where you can learn and practice wind water sports all year round. On weekends, especially in the summer, the beach is full of kites and sails, providing dreamy photographic opportunities.
