VISAS AND PERMITS (REQUIREMENTS)

Business Visa

This visa is the one where the purpose of your trip is to enter the country for business or legitimate reasons. In case you plan to stay for a specific limited period of time and have the funds to pay for your travel and living expenses in the country.

Work Permit

The work visa is granted to those persons who, due to the nature of their occupation, remain in the country for one year, without necessarily having to go abroad. They are generally granted to people who fulfill contracts for a determined period of time in public or private companies established in the country and may be renewed for the same period of time, as long as the contract is in still valid

Permanent Residence Permit

This is an extension of the permit for foreigners who have complied with the condition of annual renewal of their ordinary temporary residence permit for one year of residence and is aimed at foreigners who have complied with the condition of annual renewal of their residence permit. This service is offered by the Dirección de Extranjería/Unidad de Evaluaciones.

Prices in the Dominican Republic are closer to Latin America than the Caribbean. You can live comfortably in the Dominican Republic with a budget of only $1,200 dollars.
