Sos\u00faa is a coastal city in the province of Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic. It is located about 6.4 km from the Gregorio Luper\u00f3n International Airport in San Felipe de Puerto Plata and is divided into three sectors: El Batey, which is the main tourist section and on the east side of the main beach (Playa Sos\u00faa).<\/p>\n

Playa Sosua is known for its lively stretch lined with bars, restaurants and local and international stores.<\/p>\n

Playa Alicia<\/a> is one of the most recent beaches in the country, formed a few years ago. Also known as the “miracle beach,” this wide stretch of golden sand lies below a couple of restaurants and cafes, but you won’t find any other businesses or vendors on the beach. It is a place to go for a leisurely swim and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.<\/p>\n
