Sosua is a coastal city in the province of Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic. Playa Alicia is one of the most recent beaches in the country, formed a few years ago. Also known as the “miracle beach,” this wide stretch of golden sand lies below a couple of restaurants and cafes, but you won’t find any other businesses or vendors on the beach. It is a place to go for a leisurely swim and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.
